Highest-power and best heat-reduction SMD resistors commercially available today
ARCOL has introduced a new range of SMD resistors which have been uniquely designed to meet the needs of the ever-increasing power requirements of resistors in surface mount applications. At 10W the RWS10 is the highest-power SMD resistor on the market today. The RWS7 is rated at 7W. The thermal design has been optimised to provide a greater heat-reduction efficiency.

The new ARF series has high Pulse Capacity characteristics: the Pulse Power overload is 10xP,5sec which make the resistors ideally suited to braking and inverter / converter applications. The ARF series incorporates innovative packaging design resulting in a very low-profile package.

The TFBR series is manufactured using cutting-edge film technology, offering low inductance characteristics, making the power resistors particularly suitable to high-frequency applications. The resistors incorporate innovative packaging design, providing a high power density in a very low-profile package. The substrate thickness is a tiny 1.0 ±0.2 mm. 100W to 900W versions.
